- Independence We are an independent federation representing all TARAs in Rotherham. We are there to support all tenants whether they live in council owned property, have social or independent landlords.
- Social housing We value the important role of social housing within Rotherham and will campaign for its support and development.

- Including Everyone We are for including everyone in everything we do and fighting discrimination in all our activities.
- Increasing Tenant and Resident Involvement We are for widening tenant and resident involvement and control in the social and civic fabric of Rotherham.
Why be a delegate?
RotherFed is a democratic organisation with a strong representative structure; it is run by tenants and residents. Each member association (TARA) chooses up to two people to represent them at General and Annual General meetings. Each Area Housing Panel chooses one person to represent them and those communities in their area that do not have active TARAs.
All decisions are made by these representatives, called delegates.
Delegates set RotherFed's priorities - The delegates can meet between 2-6 times per year and decide the main issues and priorities that RotherFed works on. These meetings are also open to all our associated members and to any interested tenants and residents, but only the official delegates can vote.
