Legal Advice
We can now offer free initial legal support to community groups and tenants and residents associations who become or are members of the Federation . This will involve an initial one hour session provided by our solicitor Alan Robinson of Cross Keys Law. Help received could include support with constitutions, how to become a charity or company or detailed information on employment law. Cross Keys Law specialises in providing legal services to charities and small voluntary organisations. They can help with legal issues in setting up and running an organisation and the problems that this can create. Additional and longer term support would have to be paid for the group themselves.
The principal of the practice Alan Robinson has an excellent record of working with the voluntary and community sector in Rotherham. He advises the RotherFed board on legal matters and has supported a number of community partnership within the Borough. He will come and work with your group in the community.
