Newsletter Success

Six TARAs have now  completed a programme of creating and locally distributing at least 4 newsletters during the year with the help of a grant produced by the National Tenants Resource Centre at Trafford Hall. The groups are:

  • Hellaby Community Partnership
  • Flanderwell TARA
  • Eastwood Village Community Association
  • High Nook TARA
  • Kimberworth Park TARA
  • New Laughton Common TARA
  • Rawmarsh Area TARA

Congratulations to these groups.

The programme began with a residential desktop publishing course held at Northern College in Stainborough last summer. Laptops and cameras provided to groups following the course become the property of the TARAs once four newsletters are produced and distributed.

Steve Ruffle from the Rotherham Federation of Tenants and Residents (RotherFed) said “it is a real pleasure to see TARAs produce newsletters keeping local tenants and residents informed and updated on what is happening and what they are doing in their areas”.
