National Tenants Voice
Questions raised by the South Yorkshire Tenants and Residents Network
The newly formed South Yorkshire Tenants and Residents Network has put together some concerns about the proposals for a National Tenants Voice. In summary these are
1.. Another tier is needed which should be a strong regional structure.
2. There needs to be more investment in regional resources
3. The NTV should be a bottom up approach
4. All local bodies should be part of the process
5. Real Tenant empowerment is needed not just tokenism
6. The present timescale is unrealistic
7. If our concerns are addressed it could be an effective tool with direct access to National Government
The South Yorkshire Tenants and Residents Network is a new and informal alliance of Barnsley Tenants Federation, Rother Fed and Doncaster Tenants Federation.
