Rother Fed members, Blackburn Community Partnership held an open day at the newly renovated Blackburn Club for Young People on Saturday 21st June 2008 attended by the Mayoress.
Blackburn Community Partnership would like to thank the following for their help in ensuring these improvements:
• Demex for the roof
• RMBC Community Learning for tables and chairs
• RMBC Leadership fund for toilets, doors, freezer, cooker and kitchen
• Wentworth Flooring for all the floor covering
• Rotherham Lions for paint and Probation Services for the painting
• Bob the Milkman for grass cutting
• 2010 Rotherham and all the contractors who contribute to the partnership fund for doors and windows
Thanks from members of Blackburn Community Partnership to all the volunteers and funders who have made the improvements to the centre such a success. Wentworth Flooring (01709 552556) will continue to continue to donate to the community partnership on future orders taken.
This group won the Rother Fed Good Practice External Community Building Award for 2007 for their excellent work getting external works done to their community building.
