Everyone had a great day out at Scarborough on Saturday 18 September 2010.  The sun was shining and the ice cream was melting, the food was also excellent.

A very successful play day was held on 6 August 2009 at the rear of the "Brush & Easel" on Fleming Way at Flanderwell,  The event, held in partnership with the Playdays initiative, through local PCSO Richard Marshall, attracted hundreds of local residents onto the field. Luckily, the great British weather was kind to them, albeit a little windy, the rain stayed away. DB Entertainments provided the music and public address system, and the opening ceremony was performed by local Councillor Martyn Parker, who also put some cash in the pot to help the event.

There were a few minor hiccups; the car washing had to be delayed as the fire engine didn't arrive to fill up the water containers, so a local took them to his house and filled them from a tap. Well done that man, as Alan was waiting to get his car washed! Enthusiatic youngsters couldn't wait to get started! Many fundraising stalls did  brisk business, selling cakes, a raffle and tombola draws were just some of the methods used.

Local businesses had supported the group, donating many prizes. The Chipp Inn put up a fish supper for two, and who better to win that than the Rother Fed gannet, Alan Goy. Steve Ruffle went one better, and won a car cleaning kit, which he says he will put to good use. The group raised over £400.00 for the funds, and wish to thank everyone for their support.Active Regen report here.
